I can't speak about the original recipe. I tweaked the original recipe and exchanged the dates with organic almond butter. Thus way I curbed the sweetness and added protein instead. With this the taste was smooth not so sweet, fits my liking.

The detox shot is my absolute fav!! It’s also almost always gone when I get there later in the day so if you want to snag a few for the week, you have to get there early. It’s not as strong as the regular ginger shot but it definitely gets the job done!
